Instruction To Author

  • Contribution may be original papers, critical reviews or research notes which have not been published earlier or have not been simultaneously offered for publication elsewhere without the consent of the Chief Editor of this Journal.
  • Research papers and review articles may deal with any aspect of cotton research, development or utilization, such as breeding and genetics, bio-technology, agronomy, soil science, physiology, entomology, pathology, mechanical and chemical and bio-chemical processing, utilization of by-products, marketing etc.
  • Each paper/article should not exceed 5000 words. Brief reports or research notes should normally not exceed 800 words.
  • The manuscript should be submitted in triplicate, typed in double space, on one side of the paper with 4cm margin. Illustrations should be preferably laser prints. Photographs should be on glossy paper.
  • Results represented in diagrammatic form should not also be given in the form of Tables. Column headings should be kept to the minimum. If a brief heading is not possible, a number or letter may be used and an explanatory note is given at the foot of the table.
  • The use of Greek characters should be kept to a minimum.
  • An abstract must be provided for each paper. The abstract will precede the main text of the paper and draw attention to its salient points.
  • Reference are to be indicated by author’s name with year. These should be arranged in alphabetical order at the end of the paper.
  • Acknowledgements should be brief.
  • The authors should send the revised manuscript of the paper after incorporating the changes/alterations suggested by the referee along with a soft copy.
  • All articles are subject to the approval of the Editorial Board of the Journal.
